I was really happy with the MTX 6.5's that I put in my old boat, so I returned when I bought a new boat. This time I bought 2 pairs of the 7.7" coax, and I am thrilled! I had expected decent mid bass since it is almost an 8" driver, but was blown away by how tight the bass response really was. Even better was the clarity of the tweeters. They are bright and clean without being shrill or sharp. Sun on my face, rock and blues in my ears, boat blasting down the water...happy, happy, happy!
