At the very top of the amplifier world stand Thunder TA Super Amplifiers. What makes a Thunder amplifier a Thunder Super Amplifier are the extreme amounts of output power - up to a hair raising 9000 Watts max power, their extensive list of controls and features and the ability to run flawlessly stable at 1 Ohm to power the most complex configurations you can imagine. Most Thunder TA Super Amplifiers even accept direct 1/0 gauge power and ground and they all have direct capacitor inputs on the block as well. Each Super Amplifier was specifically designed to incorporate the latest technologies including XTC thermal management from the renowned Xtant Technologies thermal, our amazing Prizm EFX™, Smart Engage™ OEM/aftermarket integration and terminals designed by another legend, StreetWires.

MTX PURE N-CHANNEL DESIGN
Multi-channel Thunder Amplifiers have always been built with a Pure N-Channel VFET Design. It’s the job of the amplifier’s output stage to control the speaker’s movement by managing the power applied to the speaker. We design our multi-channel amplifiers to use only N-Channel VFETs on both the positive and negative circuits of the output stage (PURE N-Channel Design). This is a huge improvement over the more common N and P channel VFET approach, since N-channel has a higher usable power rating than P-Channel VFETs.
Pure N-Channel Design:

1.	It's more linear, so the speaker is better controlled.
2.	The signal travels through fewer parts so the signal-to-noise ratio is enhanced.
3.	Power rating is better, so the amplifier runs louder, longer.

MTX ADAPTIVE CLASS D
Designed to drive subwoofers, Class D technology is highly efficient for increased power output, with less current draw, in a smaller footprint. Class D amplifiers feature MOSFET transistors that operate as a switch and are used to manage the power applied to the speaker. Harmonics created from the switching process travel into the radio frequency range, and can cause interference with the radio’s reception or be picked up by the audio system’s ground. That means NOISE.

MTX Audio changed the rules with our innovative, new Adaptive Class D Technology. With our approach, the amplifier’s switching energy is constantly changing and is moved away from FM radio frequency ranges as the amplifier’s load and output increases. This ensures that the harmonics do not interfere with radio reception and are not picked up by the system ground. This improves the amp’s overall signal-to-noise ratio, and eliminates the interference generated by common Class D amplifiers. In other words, you can enjoy all the clean, musical sound from your radio.

Each Thunder TA model offers a whole new arrangement of sound enhancement features making them the most versatile amplifiers yet - 5 different styles of equalization processors to shape the sound specifically to your listening taste, six different crossover configurations that keep the speakers operating within their designed audio range (regardless of their placement), two subsonic filters for tailoring the bass response and maximizing the performance and output of your system, and much more. All of the connections (designed by StreetWires) are now located on one side of the amp for wiring ease, while all adjustments and feature controls are on the top of the amp, making tweaking and tuning easier than ever. PURE XTC
The unparalleled and unduplicated Xtant Technologies Cooling (XTC) thermal-regulated, turbo-charged intercooler is incorporated into every MTX Thunder TA amplifier to make them even more efficient. Controlled by the amplifier’s output signal and temperature of the heatsink and transformers, this intelligently designed internal thermal management system strategically supplies fan-forced cool air evenly and constantly throughout all devices.
