Introducing Thunder Dome-Axials™—a line that offers crystal clear sound and ease of installation to complement the legendary MTX bass.

MTX Thunder Dome-Axials™ have been engineered to provide ease of installation for direct OEM replacement applications while offering extremely accurate music reproduction. All models from the 4" up to the 6" x 8" feature a 20mm soft dome tweeter (the tweeter swivels on the larger speakers) for an improved listening experience. The 2-way 6" x 9" model has a 25mm soft dome tweeter and the 3-way has a 20mm and a 25mm soft dome tweeter.

The TDX6802 6" x 8" speaker model doubles as a 5" x 7" speaker. Instead of the more common filler plate, MTX designed the speaker so that it could be mounted in factory locations of both 5" x 7" speakers and 6" x 8" speakers using a truly innovative wide mounting flange.

All models of the Thunder Dome-Axial™ line are designed to be installation friendly and have one of the shallowest mounting depths available. A newly designed graphite style grille (on select models) sets off the aluminum deposition cone of the speaker giving the Thunder Dome-Axial™ speakers a look that demands attention to go along with their high performance standards.
