DEADLY ACCURATE BASS

"…the sub will rattle any loose trim, fuzz your mirrors, crush your sternum and kick your kidneys and your butt"
—Tom Nousaine, Mobile Entertainment

Thunder subwoofers are known for being cool under pressure. For Thunder9500 woofers, the MTX design and engineering team takes its lauded cooling system, highlighted by Spider Plateau Venting technology, a step further by adding a high-grade, 6063 extruded aluminum heatsink. The heatsink covers the entire wind width of the voicecoil pulling heat directly off it and ensuring the woofer plays louder, longer.
“…the guys at MTX aren't kidding around. [Thunder8500] is sonically strong as it is asthetically pleasing.”
— Eric Holdaway, Car Audio & Electronics
Thunder9500 and Thunder8500 SuperWoofers are equipped with high strength, 8-gauge, nickel-plated compression poles and a set of two 8-gauge set-screw quick connect terminals on either side of the compression poles. Incorporating both compression poles and set screws creates several installer advantages including clean, proper wiring of DVC woofers and/or, by utilizing the compression poles, wiring for multiple woofer installs.
“[Thunder8500]...one of the best all-around speakers that I have had the pleasure of testing.”
— Eric Holdaway, Car Audio & Electronics
