After a successful first season of Pimp my Ride UK, the filming for the second season is about to start for broadcast in March - April 06. Pimp my Ride UK is the all British version of the #1 hit series from the US.

In this second season, the installers at Pimp My Ride UK will work exclusively with StreetWires. Each install will be completely wired with StreetWires to make sure each item will get all the power it needs.

To make it as easy as possible for the installers, Neil Kelly from UK StreetWires distributor, BBG, has designed a special StreetWires display for Pimp My Ride UK. The display holds everything that is needed for each install.

BBG is now officially “Pimped” Pimp My Ride UK!

Mark Lewthwaite, 23 years old, from Northern Ireland is just a regular guy that loves good sounding car audio. For this reason alone there was only one place the install was going to get done, Audio Advice in Belfast. Iain from Audio Advice recommended the MTX gear, and after Mark was placed inside the MTX Renault 19 demo car for an intensive demonstration, he wasn’t gonna argue about it.

The Guys from Audio Advice claimed Mark’s Ford Fiesta Zetec and Mark was forced to take public transport while his car was literally being "Pimped" into a hot new ride with a mind blowing MTX/StreetWires audio system.

MTX presence was HUGE with several cars including the MTX demo vehicle from LM Audio using 3 Thunder amps (2005 models), 5 T5500 performance woofers and T8000 component set.

The Nova is fitted with a 2 litre 16V engine good for 192bhp. To give the car its very own look the installers from LM took out the headlights and replaced these with two 6" TFT screens. Four other 6" screens are installed in the front doors and the dash. The entire car is built using fiberglass and MDF. At the heart of the system are 3 new 2005 Thunder amps: 2x TA4501 Class D amps driving the subs 1x TA3404 4-channel amp driving the front and rear speakers 5x T5512 high performance woofers are built in a special sealed enclosure 2x T5510 subs are reverse mounted in the front doors 1x T8.6 component set is completing the 3-way front system 1x T6.6 convertible set is used for rear fill.
