I bought a 9500 15" dual 4-ohm subwoofer a few months ago and have been literally blown away with the performance it has given me. It is the loudest single 15" sub I have ever heard and music just sounds so good through it, it makes me glad I went with MTX yet again. Great job guys, MTX subs are the only subs I will put in my car from now on.

I am writing this letter as a way of thanking you for the excellent car audio products that you produce in terms of sound quality, build and power. Over the last year, I spent lot of money swapping out different brands of car audio… Rockford Fosgate, MMATS, Kicker and JL Audio … were either over priced, not working or did not have a combination of the features that I was looking for. I found Rockford Fosgate, MMATS and JL Audio to be very pricey and not worth the extra money that was being paid. Kicker in my opinion used very cheap materials to make their products and … something was always off and did not sound right.
About 2 months ago it dawned on me to try MTX… because of the increase in power and clarity ... and automatically my system sounded so much better. The bass was harder … and my mids and highs were so much crisper… That was the best decision that I ever made… the amps are smaller but all of the adjustments and controls are on the top of the amp which makes adjusting the gains, colors and setting so much easier. The sound in my truck is phenomenal and the bass is clear and hits so hard that I could only turn up my 7801 amp one quarter of the way… In all of years of being involved with car audio I have never been so impressed with a product as I am with MTX. I consider myself to be a long time car sound enthusiast and I have been involved with car sound since 1989. MTX has a very well deserved reputation and I will be a customer that will continue to promote MTX continually using the fine products that your company offers.
I wanted to just say thank you to MTX for continuing to make excelling car audio products. Both of my vehicles are powered with MTX proudly. The money spent purchasing your products were more than well worth it and I got 1000% return on my investment in your products.

Hi, I was looking through the garage over the weekend and found a sub box with two 10" MTX subs in it--it turned out (this box) used to be my dad's... I tried them out and they still pack a punch. Looks like MTX stuff is built to last. Thanks!

Just wanted to thank you for the "don't get ripped off" page (on mtx.com). I've been dyin' to get a Thunder7500 12" but I just can't afford it. Then, I found one for half the price from "Indo Audio" and was about to buy it but luckily I saw your web page first. I am disappointed that I can't have the sub but it's better than gettin' ripped off. You guys have the best subs around. Thanks!

In the beginning of ’05, I bought a single 12” T8500 SledgeHammer and powered it with a Thunder421D. It far exceeded my expectations for a single 12". I have heard a lot of stereos but never that loud for one 12". Not even for a 15"! At least power-wise, for a 300 watt amp, nothing has touched the MTX combo. Sadly, it was stolen just 4 months later. But it was perfect while I had it. I’m now a loyal fan and will only use MTX subs and amps. Keep up the good work! I can’t wait to see the ‘06 models!

Just wanted to give you some positive feedback on your amplifier. The new series of amps is awesome! I like the
fact that...you include the RCAs to wire into the amp. The other thing is that the amp's conversion does an AWESOME job, sounds as good as having
real line level outs.
The car I installed [the amplifier in] did not have RCA outs and we were really
in a bind to find an amp or a converter that would work
well. We were considering expensive options...but the way your amps do the
conversion is great. No bulky box to convert the signal and
you include those RCAs to plug into the amp on the same
inputs as for the line level signals.

A while ago I bought a 12" Rockford Punch HX2 subwoofer and blew it in 2 weeks with a 500 watt amp (yes, 500 watts RMS into 500 watts RMS). Right after that I bought a 12" Rockford Power HX2 (the one with the huge surround) and I blew it in just under a month with the same amp (500Wrms
into a 1000Wrms woofer...WTF!?) ...I bought a couple of MTX 10" Thunder 8000 subs...they have lasted for 4 months (and are still going strong). I am VERY impressed with the sound quality and the bass volume. Thanks for providing us bass-heads with great reliability.

I just want to let you know that the Thunder9500s are the best subwoofers I've ever heard. I have one 15" 9500, and people absolutely go CRAZY when they hear it. Pretty much everyone in my school (Lincoln Tech) wants one. That sub is an absolute BEAST! One day, if I have an SUV of some sort, I'm going to snatch that JackHammer. But until then, I think I'll work on buying one more 15" 9500....I'm running my 9500 from an MTX 1501D amplifier. That amp is a beast also. I also have a 10 farad capacitor. Everyone I encounter flips out - and the voltage isn't even at 14.0!

I have one 12" Thunder9500 sub in a SledgeHammer box getting power from a Thunder801D amp. This setup is insane! After a little tuning to get nice, clear, crisp SQ sound, I decided to test the SPL thinking I’d get mid to high 130s dB. On the first try, I hit 148 dB and I wasn’t even using half the gain! Like I said, this combination is insane!

I've had MTX in the past; amps, subs, crossovers, you name it. Just recently, I purchased a Thunder 801D amp and a single SledgeHammer 8500 12"-- ultimately, the best stereo I've ever had! I had an Alpine Type R 12" hooked up to this amp and I smoked it. Then I traded it for a single SledgeHammer 7500 12" and it just seemed like I had too much power. So, after having that for 3 days, I traded it for the 8500. It came alive! I used to have a Ford Festiva that I took the back seat out of and had 4 JL W3 12s, and hit a high SPL with...until somebody decided they wanted it more than me. I think this one 12" is very comparable to that with a better THD.
My brother just bought 2 Thunder 5500 10s for his 2005 Chevy truck that I'm building a box for this weekend. After hearing mine, he had to have his own. 100% MTX follower and believer!

I have been running MTX Audio since I was 16 years old starting with two 10" Thunder 5000 subs and a 2150x amp. I have had about 4 systems since then, all MTX subs and amps. Now I run four 10" Thunder 7500 subwoofers with an 81000D amplifier and it's by far the loudest I've had and loudest I've heard around here.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I bought an MTX Thunder4000 series subwoofer in 1999 at Circuit City. To your credit, I still have this subwoofer and it is running great to this day. That's 5 years worth of great bass coming from the same subwoofer. I went through 3 10" Sony Xplode subwoofers and blew them all until I finally went with the MTX 4000 series. I just wanted to tell a little story. I owned 2 MTX amps while in Alaska had a kick'n system in a big 4x4 and loved offroading. One day while fording a river with my system blasting I bottomed out in the middle. Everything was fine until I opened my door and the truck flooded with 10 inches of river with my amps under the seats. To my amazement they didnt cut off even being under water. Yes the amps played fully submerged! I'll never own another brand of amp. Thank You.
