Do any of you guys know if MTX will be bringing back the weekly deals? It has been gone since they updated the site and I think we all want to see it come back.

dillon, we do still offer weekly deals but we do not have a weekly deals tab. we are always working on the site and i will see if we can get a weekly deals tab back up on the site. most of the weekly deals are located on the limited supplies portion of the car audio section.

MTX RT 12-04

i do not recommend using much more power than the rated power for the rt12-04 subwoofer. it is rated at the 250w for the parts being used. using more power could damage the voice coil and/or other parts in the subwoofer.

scott, the black gold subwoofers are actually designed for sealed applications. they perform best and give the best sound quality in a sealed enclosure. 1.5-2.0 cubic feet sealed is optimal for the BG124 subwoofers.

adrino, the Thunder 8000 series subwoofers were great subwoofers when they were available. being on of the top subwoofers mtx has made. they were great quality and sound. we did make the thunder 8000 subs two different times. the first generation was 400w rms and the second generation was 600w rms. sorry but i could not estimate a price on them.

the terminator 6.5" speakers would be a great upgrade without needing a ton of power. they would work great with the factory or aftermarket radio power.

you can use your dmm to check the impedance of the subwoofer at the terminals. it should match the impedance shown on the sticker on the magnet. 4ohm can be 3.6-4.2ohm and 2ohm can be 1.8-2.2ohm. generally they are a little on the lower end though. if you need to,feel free to give us a call at 1-800-225-5689.
