Once you have your wiring diagram and final impedance, match your amplifier to it using this formula:
# of subs × RMS power per sub = amplifier RMS rating at final impedance
Example: 2 subs × 250W RMS = 500W amplifier at your chosen impedance
If you need more power than one amplifier can provide, select the number of subwoofers per amplifier — each diagram is based on one amplifier output.
Use RMS ratings only. Do not use MAX or PEAK power ratings when matching an amplifier to your subwoofers. Always use RMS (continuous) ratings for both the sub and the amp.
