What Does a DSP Actually Do?
A DSP sits between your source and the rest of your system. It's a control point, one place where the signal gets shaped and organized before it ever reaches a speaker.
Instead of thousands of settings, think of it as three jobs happening in one box: shaping tone, directing frequencies to the right speaker, and making sure everything arrives at your ears at the same time.

Equalization
Shapes tonal balance. If one range is too dominant, EQ lets you pull it back instead of just turning everything up.
Crossovers
Sets frequency boundaries. Lows go to the subwoofer, mids to your midrange, highs to the tweeter, so every speaker plays only the part it's built for.
Time Alignment
Compensates for distance. Your speakers aren't all the same distance from you, so TA delays the closer ones to bring everything together.
